Long Lost Brothers

Pepione, a dark smiling mutt, looking like a big version of my small greying friend Winn, only his gait was trotty and frisky, but heavy, and he carried himself confidently like a portly man in deck shoes with no socks his stout hopping legs leading green khaki shorts above his knees held up by a brown braided leather belt wrapped over a tucked in printed polo shirt. I remember the day he came to the farm and trotted under the house I saw his black frame for an instant. He was too confident for a large man and too peppy with his skinny disguise and we could all see through it. So we called him ‘Big Winn’.
